Was Jessica Simpson’s Dad Spying on Nick Lachey – The ex’s Met Up With Each Other In LA and Were Seen Hugging

Sources told the New York Daily News that Jessica Simpson’s dad was watching her husband, Nick Lachey, during the months of their separation. Their marriage officially ended on June 30^th, but their stories keep coming in.

Joe Simpson was especially interested in what his son-in-law was doing on a night last spring when both Nick and Vanessa Minnillo were at a club, according to the source. The News did not mention the night club by name but says the management declined Joe’s request to see the security videotape. An insider said “Joe called the club people after hearing Nick was there and demanded to see the security videotape.”

The source said “Joe was looking to incriminate Nick. He told the club, 'If you ever want to see my daughter there, you'll give me what I want.'" The dad was mighty curious about what Nick was up to. A Rep for Simpson said the story was preposterous.

It appears Jessica and Nick have been seen with each other since the break-up. PerzHilton.com reports that the two saw each other Friday night at the Sam Nazarian’s bar “Hyde” in LA. Vanessa was with Nick, and a “spywitness” said Nick walked over to Jessica's table, gave her a hug and said hello to her and to Ken Paves. "It wasn't the most comfortable situation but it was totally civil and everyone was cool and Jessica was nice."
