Britney Spears Segment with NBC Matt Lauer on the Today Show - Complete Interview Will Air Friday Night on NBC Dateline

The NBC Today show featured a teaser segment of the Matt Lauer Interview with Britney Spears Thursday morning. The full interview will air this Friday night on Dateline.

Lauer showed the 24 year old Spears a series of tabloid cover stories concerning her marriage to Kevin Federline, 28. Britney said “"You know what? I need to create my own magazine. I need to come up with my own and say the real deal." She admitted that the tabloids are very good at what they do.

When asked about the picture of her and 28-year-old U.S. Naval Academy graduate Perry Taylor, Spears said “Oh, no. That's my security guard." The cover had indicated that this was the new man in her life. The tabloid image was of her and Taylor walking with Sean Preston in his arms.

Britney says Federline is still living at home with her. She said “Oh, definitely, working very hard." She added, “He helps me. He has to. I'm an emotional wreck right now. Not in a bad way – just, you know, I'll start laughing hysterically, and then I'll just start crying. It's my hormones, so it's nice to have my husband there to keep me company." She says that Federline is living on the main floor of her house, and not in the basement as one tabloid claimed.

Lauer press Britney about her relation with Federline. He asked her, “What is it about Kevin that makes you love him?” Spears responded, “It’s very simple. Women complicate everything. He’s so simple. His simplicity and just he’s like a boy. He just, you know, and he cares. He cares so much and his heart is awesome. He has a really big heart and I love that.”

There were times in the interview that she covered her face with her hands. She told Lauer that, "I would just say, 'You have babies at home, and you have a wife, and if you don't, you have to realize that we're people and we just need privacy and we need our respect and these are just things you have to have as a human being.' "
