This Sunday, Actress, Nicole Kidman, and country-music singer, Keith Urban, said ‘I Do’ as they get married in a traditional Catholic ceremony in a chapel in Sydney, Australia. There was already much anticipation for the couple pending wedding date, which now the happy couple have finally tied the knot.

The sandstone chapel is located up in a cliff-top setting which offers views of the Sydney Harbor and the Pacific Ocean. Kidman and Urban wed in a candlelight ceremony. Kidman arrived with a group of cream Rolls Royce cars at 5:30 p.m. When the ceremony was complete the church bells rang to announce the marriage.

Kidman who is now 39, was once married to Tom Cruise for 10 years and then divorced in 2001. Urban and Kidman are both Australians that were born overseas. They met in January of 2005 in Los Angeles for a dinner that was held by the Australian government in honor of the two of them.

According to Reuters, Actor Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman who starred in the "X-Men: The Last Stand," also showed up as guest for the wedding. Australian, Naomi Watts who is the leading lady in “King Kong” attended the wedding. Director Baz Luhrmann was also one of the guests. Luhrmann directed Nicole Kidman in the movie, “Moulin Rouge.” There were a total of 230 guests attending the ceremony.

According to Business Wire, Hugh Jackman will be acting alongside Kidman in an untitled movie directed by Luhrmann in the next year. The story is a romantic action-adventure set in northern Australia prior to World War II. Pre-production begins October 2006. Filming will start in February of 2007 in Australia.

Nicole Kidman’s family was present for her special day. Her adopted children from her marriage with Tom Cruise participated in the ceremony. Her daughter Isabella, 13, along with Kidman’s niece participated in the bridal party. Kidman’s son, Conner, 11, was an usher at the wedding. Kidman’s father who is a well known psychologist in Sydney gave Kidman away to Urban.

The local Australia media have rumored that the happily wed couple will honeymoon in the South Pacific. The guess is that the newlyweds will vacation in an exclusive Fiji resort island.
