[Best Syndication News] Since receiving large amounts of snow from the storms last week, people have flocked in droves to the local mountains to go skiing and sledding. Both Wrightwood and Big Bear have had record number of snow visitors arrive to the mountain to play in the snow.
This weekend was so packed full of people in Wrightwood that HWY 138 was lined with parked cars on both sides of the roadways stretching a mile from the HWY 2 junction. This influx of visitors caused extreme congestion in the evening when snow frolickers journeyed back down the mountain towards home.

[Best Syndication News] There has been a state of emergency declared for San Bernardino County after the week long series of rain and snow storms that swept through the area causing widespread utility outages, road closures and damage to at least 124 homes.
Other counties in the state that were declared to be in a state of emergency included Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Francisco and Siskiyou counties with reports of loss of human life and injuries, flooding, heavy snows, and mudslides.
Since the break in the storms, there has been much clean up to do. There has been major sink holes in roads in Hesperia that occured because of the heavy rains. A school in Adelanto was flooded with damages estimated at around $100,000.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a voluntary recall with Lysol for their steam cleaning mop because of a possibilty of the hot water mixture could burst from the housing container and cause the user burns and lacerations.
The distributor of the mop is Conair Corporation with the brand name of Lysol on the mop. There are approxiametly 162,000 mops that have been recalled. If you own this mop the CPSC recommend to not use the mop unless the manufacturer instructs otherwise.
The manufacturer had received 14 reports of the water spurting out with force from the water reservoir. Out of these complaints, two people had received minor burns which they sought out medical attention for the injury.

Abby Sunderland who is only 16 years old set sail from Marina del Rey to voyage around the world solo. Sunderland is from Thousand Oaks and was sent off will well wishes from family and friends this past Saturday. She is the second of 7 kids.
Sunderland is aiming to become the youngest person to sail around the globe in a 40-foot sailboat. Sunderland has been sailing with the family since she was six months old. Sailing is in the family's blood, as her older brother Zac at the age of 17 sailed around the world in a 13 month journey. For a short time Zac was the youngest person in the world to sail around the Earth, but was ousted by Michael Perham from England beat his record just weeks later. Abby said in a press conference that she was inspired by what her brother had accomplished.

[BestSyndication News] Celebrities are all giving their time and talent to help raise money for the Haiti Earthquake Relief efforts. The two hour star studded fundraiser will air on several channels, and can also be watched online as well. This two hour event begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time or 5 p.m. Pacific Time.
The networks that will be broadcasting the Hope for Haiti Now Telethon are as follows:
