Haggard

The 50 year old Pastor of the Colorado Springs New Life Church, Ted Haggard, told reporters that he has bought methamphetamine but did not have sex with Mike Jones, the gay escort who says he had the three-year relationship with the pastor. He told reporters that "I bought it (methamphetamine) for myself but never used it." He added "I was tempted, but I never used it." Jones told CNN that he “absolutely” used it.

Haggard now admits he did get a massage from Jones after being referred to him by a Denver hotel. Jones said that yesterday the reverend claimed he didn’t even know him and adds that Haggard should just “admit it”.

Haggard has temporarily given up leadership of his church pending an investigation into allegations concerning monthly trysts with the gay prostitute over the last three years. The reverend and father of denied the allegations and says “I've never had a gay relationship with anybody . . . I'm faithful to my wife."

Ken Blackwell is ready to cash in on the Republican promise of putting him in the Governor's mansion in 2006 after he proved that he was indispensable in the successful plot to rig the 2004 Presidential election in Ohio for George W Bush.

As secretary of state in 2004, Blackwell held broad powers for setting election standards in everything from the processing of voter registration to overseeing the distribution of voting machines and ballots. He was also simultaneously serving as co-chairman in the Bush-Cheney campaign in Ohio.

Which means, in 2006, with Blackwell still in the position of secretary of state, once again voters in Ohio have a fox guarding the voting henhouse. Only this time the stakes are even higher for Blackwell because his political future is on the line.

Oyler’s attorney entered a not guilt plea in court for him Thursday. The Press Enterprise reports that said he was innocent and claimed he has not “done anything with any fires.
