Former Rancho Cucamonga Real Estate Broker Sentenced to Prison

(Best Syndication News) BREAKING NEWS - San Bernardino, CA. – On Wednesday, January 27, 2010, Mojgan Cox, 50, of Alta Loma, pleaded guilty to several felony charges including conspiracy, money laundering, grand theft, and forgery. Cox, also known as “Mona,” is a former real estate broker for ReMax Allegiance and owner of Exclusive Escrow Services.

She is one of six co-defendants originally charged and arrested by District Attorney Investigators from the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Real Estate Fraud Unit.

County May Convert Solid Waste into Energy

(Best Syndication News) SAN BERNARDINO, CA – San Bernardino County voted to authorized the issuance of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the construction of a municipal solid waste conversion technology project that would extend the lifespan of county landfills and meet state mandated waste diversion requirements.

Since taking office, Supervisor Neil Derry has led the effort to adopt solid waste conversion technologies. He has spearheaded meetings with county staff to seek out these initiatives citing their anticipatory costs savings to county taxpayers and efficient use of resources while being environmentally conscious.

J.D. Salinger Author Dead at 91 Years

[Best Syndication News] American author, Jerome David aka “J.D.” Salinger passed away at the age of 91 from natural causes on January 27th, 2010, at his home in Cornish, New Hampshire. Salinger is best known for his novel “The Catcher in the Rye” which was first published in 1951, which was about adolescent alienation and the loss of childhood innocence after the main character is kicked out via expulsion from an elite prep school. The novel is still popular selling approximately 250,000 copies per year.

Salinger was a reclusive and hasn't been interviewed by the media since 1980. His last published work was in 1965 which was a novella title “Hapworth 16, 1924” which was published in The New Yorker. He later fought against the republishing of this novella into a book later on.

President Obama Infrastructure Spending Could Bring High Speed Rail To Southern California

(Best Syndication News) Besides jobs and the economy, President Barack Obama proposed improving the infrastructure in his State of the Union Speech last night. “From the first railroads to the Interstate Highway System, our nation has always been built to compete,” the President said.

Included in that proposal is a possible $2 billion to build a high speed rail system in southern California. The idea of building a rail system from Anaheim to Las Vegas has been kicked around for decades, but if the proposed stimulus package is passed, it may become a reality.
