[Best Syndication News] On The Oprah Winfrey show today, it was all about type 2 diabetes and what we can do to prevent the disease and halt the damage that it creates. The first part of the show discussed how the disease works and the second part of the show had an intervention and a success story of a chef that had reversed his diabetes with diet and exercise. Dr. Ian Smith participated in the Diabetes intervention on Oprah's TV show today. He is well know for his creation of 'The 50 Million Pound Challenge' which was created to challenge the population's problem with obesity with the goal of weight loss. Smith is currently the medical/diet expert on VH1’s 'Celebrity Fit Club.' He is also the author of several books, including 'The Fat Smash Diet.'

(Best Syndication News) Jay Leno says he didn’t want to leave his Tonight Show slot but NBC executives wanted Conan O’Brien in there. After a disastrous prime-time show, NBC decided to move him back to the late-night slot displacing O’Brien. Last week Leno explained his feelings to the Oprah Winfrey Show audience (see funny montage below).
The Tonight Show is one of the longest running shows on television. In 1954 Steven Allen was the first host followed by Jack Paar in 1957. Johnny Carson was the longest running host from 1962 through 1992. He had the show for an astounding 30 seasons when Leno took over. Leno left in 2009 and O’Brien served the shortest time; less than one year (7 months).

[Best Syndication News] The UK's famous 'Britain's Got Talent' singer, Susan Boyle, performed 'Who I was Born to Be' on the Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday.
Boyle said that she suffered from exhaustion, and she is absolutely fine now. It turns out that she was just working to hard and she didn't eat for a week and had problems with sleep. She was in the hospital for 3 days because of it. Boyle has set record album sales which she tells Oprah that she is glad with the results of all the sales of her album.
The show also had last season's "American Idol" contestant Adam Lambert perform on the show. Lambert performed "If I Had You" on the show. Lambert showed us that he was performing in LA for the musical “Wicked” before making it big on American Idol.

[Best Syndication News] Oprah Winfrey had Lady Gaga on Friday's Oprah TV show to perform, this was just one day after the singer canceled a concert the night before at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Lady Gaga was reported to have suffered from exhaustion.
Lady Gaga wrote on her Twitter account, “Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular-- a result of exhaustion and dehydration.”
Her appearance on Oprah is her only performance lately as she has been taking some time off and has canceled Saturday's Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City. According to Lady Gaga's show promoter they have also canceled Sunday performance in Wallingford, Connecticut and will postponed Mohegan Sun casino performance for Monday in Uncasville, Connecticut.

After shows about factory farming and puppy mills how could Oprah offer viewers the "blood gift" of an estimated 40,000 birds as free downloadable coupons for Kentucky Grilled Chicken meals fans asked?
Why wouldn't she take her own medicine after shows about vegan diets and trying one herself just months ago?
Couldn't the Queen of Empathy think of a better way to help viewers feed themselves during the recession than KFC, targeted by animal welfare groups for six years for its supplier cruelty captured--repeatedly--on video?
