Sherwin-Williams announces recall of certain Coating, Glaze, and Paint Spray Can Products

(Best Syndication News) - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the voluntary recall of four different Sherwin-Williams products that come in spray cans because they could leak. The contents could become exposed to an ignition source, which could cause a fire.

The four products involved in the recalls are Tree House Studio™ Clear Acrylic Matte Coating, Dupli-Color® Perfect Match™ Automotive Paint, Krylon® Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze, and Krylon® Indoor/Outdoor Crystal Clear Acrylic Paint.

GM recalls certain Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainer, SAAB 907x, and Isuzu Ascender Vehicles

(Best Syndication News) - A General Motors (GM) recall involving around 249,260 vehicles was announced because there is a possibility that a circuit board could short and cause overheating, smoke, and fire. The announcement was made by the US Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Only certain models of 2006 and 2007 vehicles are involved and were originally sold or currently registered in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia.

Ford Escape Vehicle recall announced for Potential Stuck Throttle

(Best Syndication News) - Around 423,634 Ford Escape vehicles are being recalled because the cruise control cable connector is positioned without enough clearance from the engine cover and this could cause the throttle to become stuck when the gas pedal is pressed-in completely or almost fully pushed all the way down.

Only the model years of 2001 through 2004 of the Ford Escape vehicles with 3.0L V6 engines and speed control are involved in the recall. These vehicles were manufactured between October 22, 1999, and January 23, 2004.

The problem can occur whether or not the cruise control option is engaged.

GM investigating Wi-Fi sensing Technology for Vehicles

(Best Syndication News) - General Motors (NYSE:GM, TSX: GMM) announced that they are working on technology for vehicles to sense Wi-Fi found in Smartphones to let drivers know when a person is crossing the street or riding a bicycle. This could be helpful on busy intersections and streets, and in poor visibility situations.

Additionally, GM is investigating the idea of a complementary app for Wi-Fi Direct capable Smartphones to help bicyclists and road workers notify Wi-Fi Direct vehicles of there location on the street.

Honda 2013 Fit EV vehicles are available in California and Oregon for Lease

(Best Syndication News) - Certain areas in California and Oregon have the 2013 Honda Fit EV vehicles available for lease. The first all-electric 2013 Honda Fit E was delivered in Southern California today.

The EPA rated the 2013 Fit EV vehicle as having a combined 118 MPGe rating, with 132 city MPG2e, and 105 highway MPGe. The rating could vary for several reasons, such as driving conditions, how a person drives, vehicle maintenance, and battery age or condition. The electricity usage is 29-kilowatt hours (kWh) per 100 miles.
