The new Latitude 6430u is a 14-inch notebook that is 33 percent thinner and 16 percent lighter than the previous generation. The lightweight notebook is designed for businesses on the go. The laptop was designed to meet the MIL-STD-810G testing standard, which tests the computer in the harshest conditions. The battery life is long; Dell says the batter should last all-day. Security features have been incorporated to meet business user needs.

The new iTunes player will let you pick one of your albums and expand it so that you can see the songs on the album. You can click on the Play button and the album plays while you continue to browse.

An even more compact MiniPlayer with more features will be made availalbe. The new MiniPlayer will let you see the songs that are coming up next before they play. Then, if you aren’t wanting to listen to one of those songs, you can pick a different song. This can be accomplished without opening the library.

Amazon announces new Kindle Fire HD Tablet and Kindle Paperwhite eBook Reader

The Kindle Paperwhite is expected to ship around October 1, 2012, while the Kindle Fire HD models will ship on November 20, 2012. The company is offering pre-order for customers to reserve them so they can be the first to own one when they do become available.

The new reader has a higher resolution and better contrast than other readers. The battery life lasts for up to 8 weeks. There is also a built-in light so a person can read in the dark. The display has adjustable contrast for reading in all lighting conditions. The new reader also has an anti-glare screen for better reading outdoors.

AT&T adds 4G LTE service to Bakersfield and Modesto

The AT&T 4G LTE network is up to 10 times faster than the company’s 3G service. The faster service works with compatible 4G LTE Smartphones and other mobile devices.

AT&T has been rapidly expanding their 4G LTE network throughout the United States. The company explained that their 4G LTE customers could still get a boost in non-LTE areas with their 4G HSPA+ network.
