Current Mortgage Interest Rates Today – Rates fell today except at Bank of America

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) fell three points to 4.958 percent today. Over the last five days it has fallen 11 basis points but over the last 100-days it is 54 points higher.

Last week the average fell below 5.0 percent. Plugging the current rate into a mortgage calculator we found rates of $1,202 on a $225,000 home loan. Many homeowners want to refinance today while rates are low.

Current Mortgage Rates Today – Citibank Chase Bank of America and U.S. Bank Cut Rates Again

(Best Syndication News) Mortgage interest rates fell again for the fifth straight day in a row (see rate charts below).

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) fell another three basis points to 4.984 percent today. After plugging the rate into a mortgage calculator, we found monthly payments of $1,071 on a $200,000 loan. The payments do not include property taxes, PMI or other types of insurance.

The rates may or may not reflect points. Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) and other banks listed may charge one point or more for the loan. Closing costs are another factor to consider. Most borrowers are looking for a mortgage with no closing costs.

Mortgage Interest Rates Today – Big Changes at Major Banks Push Rates Even Lower

(Best Syndication News) While Chase and U.S. Bank raised their rates today, Citibank, SunTrust, PNC and Bank of America make deep cuts (see rate charts below).

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) fell four basis points to 5.019 percent today. Only a handful of banks bucked the trend and raised rates.

Citibank lowered their rate two basis points to 5.17 percent.

SunTrust lowered their 30-year conventional mortgage rate eight points to 4.91 percent. The bank also lowered their FHA fixed rates six points to 5.37 percent.

(Best Syndication News) The average mortgage rate declined again today for the third straight day, with changes at U.S. Bank, SunTrust Bank, Chase and Bank of America (see rate chart below). There were no changes at Citibank, Wells Fargo and HSBC today.

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) decreased one basis point to 5.057 percent. The rate has been lower three days in a row, but is still higher for the week, month and 100-days.

Current Mortgage Rates Today Lower Again – Changes at Citibank Chase and SunTrust Banks

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) fell two basis points today to 5.066 percent. Over the last five day, month and 100-days, the rate is still higher. Home loan rates are still at historic lows.

Citibank lowered their rate five points to 5.19 percent.

SunTrust lowered their rate five points to 4.95 percent. Their FHA loans were one point higher to 5.40 percent.
