(Best Syndication News) The 2011 winner of FOX’s ‘American Idol’ TV show was named and it is Scott McCleery. Season 10 was so different because of the new judges, without Simon Cowell criticizing. McCleery was a surprise winner for the singing competition this year. Many viewers did not think that he would win it in the early weeks of the competition. However, McCleery’s low tones and country themed sounds must have won over the viewers each week. There were over 122 million viewer votes that decided this year’s ‘American Idol’ winner. The all-star line-up of performances on the season finale were very entertaining.

McCleery was only 17 when he auditioned for ‘American Idol’ in the Milwaukee auditions. McCleery is from Garner, NC. Could it be possible that country music is taking over rock music? It was interesting how he won it and it was nice to see a different genre take the title.
