Bridgeway Bicycle Recall announced due to Chain Breaking
(Best Syndication News) - Around 91,000 Bridgeway brand bicycles are being voluntarily recalled due the possibility of the chain breaking and causing a person to lose control and becoming injured. This announcement was made today by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) along with the importer.
The bicycles were sold at Walmart stores between February 2011 and July 2011 with a retail price around $100. Bridgeway International, of Naples, Florida, announced the recall after receiving 11 reports. Out of these reports, nine people had sustained injuries, which included cuts and contusions.
The “NEXT” branded men’s 26-inch hybrid bicycles are involved in this recall. The model numbers are LBH2611M and LBH2611M2, and these numbers can be found on the bicycle frame in between the pedals. The bicycles have red or orange paint and they have the words “Power X “and “Suspension” on the frame.
People that have the recalled bicycles should stop using them until the unit has been repaired. Bridgeway is offering a free repair to remedy the problem. Consumers can call the company toll-free at (877) 934-3228 or visit their website at www.powerxbike.com for more information.
