CMT Channel holds fundraiser for Southern States recovering from Flood and Tornado damage
(Best Syndication News) - The CMT Channel held a 90-minute commercial free fund-raiser last night. The Music Builds: The CMT Disaster Relief Concert included an all-star lineup of country music performances and celebrities to help raise money for the Southern states that have been devastated from Tornadoes, flooding, and extreme weather. Donations will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief. The CMT fundraiser is also available to watch online at CMT.com.
The fund-raising event was co-hosted by ESPN's Erin Andrews, HLN's Robin Meade, and comedian Ron White. Performances included Hank Williams, Jr., Alabama, Alan Jackson, Gretchen Wilson, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Ronnie Dunn, Sara Evans, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Tim McGraw, and Trace Adkins.
Celebrities that made appearances on the fundraiser are American Idol judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler , with host Ryan Seacrest; Big Kenny, Carrie Underwood, Courteney Cox , Ellen Degeneres and Taylor Swift , University of Alabama Coach Nick Saban , Nicole Kidman , Shania Twain and more.
