[Best Syndication News] The name for the telescope is LUCIFER when is an acronym for Large (binocular telescope near-infrared) Utility with Camera and Infrared Field unit for Extra-galactic Research. It is the world's largest optical telescope that will help astronomers view the most faraway distant objects in our universe.
The Large Binocular Telescope with this near-infrared camera has been installed on Mount Graham observatory in southeastern Arizona. The new telescope technology is being called LUCIFER and will help astronomers look at the Milky Way and to far away galaxies. It will be able to pick up the faintest of far away objects in space.
