Is there a NJ Campground which is a little slice of heaven? When someone mentions New Jersey, campgrounds are not the first thing to pop in your mind. Maybe traffic, high taxes, congestion, corruption but not campgrounds.
Although New Jersey is not known for their outdoor activities it does have some beautiful places to camp, fish, hike and boat. In southern Jersey there are many RV and Campgrounds which are within walking distance of the beaches. These provide a low cost option to the high cost hotels and resorts in the area. Many of the campgrounds offer swimming pools, showers, games for the kids, and convienence stores.

In Central and Northern Jersey there are many small private and public lakes which offer a wide array of boating and fishing activities. Some are restricted to only electric boats while others do not have a limit on horsepower. Lake Hopatcong is the largest of the northern lakes which offers many restaurants right on the lake. Swartswood Lake just north of Hopatcong is another large lake that only caters to electric motors.
One NJ Campground of interest is Windy Acres Campground which resides in Newton, NJ right on Lake Paulinskill. Lake Paulinskill is a private lake that offers many water sport activities including: waterskiing, tubing, wakeboarding, fishing, canoeing and kayaking.
All of the lakes provide many different activities for the whole family to enjoy. So the answer to the questions is a resounding YES. There is a NJ Campground
