(Best Syndication News) While the economy suffers in general, the internet business, including Google, Facebook and even Microsoft, are doing relatively well. Facebook, Myspace and other social networks including Twitter, have been gaining subscribers at an amazing pace. Facebook has more members than the popular of all the countries in the world except China, India and the United States. Next year they expect to have more members than the United States.

Google has been posting revenue increases all year. In the first quarter they showed a revenue increase of 6 percent over the previous quarters. According to a report in Mediaweek their revenues did not halt there. They grew 3 percent in the second quarter and another 7 percent in the third quarter.

Google still dominates the search industry according to ComScore. They serve up 64.9 percent of all the searches in the US. That is roughly 13.8 billion searches in September alone. That is amazing considering that search makes up 47 percent of all online ad spending.

Don’t forget about Microsoft. They have lagged behind both Yahoo and Google for years. Recently the producer of “Windows 7” has launched their new BING search engine.

With an $80 million ad campaign they have improved their search ranking. Bing is serving up 9.4 percent of the search results. This is up from 8.5 percent in 2008. Microsoft has recently etched out a deal with Yahoo, Facebook and Twitter which should cut into Google slightly.
