(Best Syndication News) HESPERIA – San Bernardino County First District Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt invites homeowners to a free foreclosure prevention seminar on Saturday, November 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sultana High School’s multi-purpose room, located at 17311 Sultana St., Hesperia, CA 92345.

“Our goal is to help families save their homes by providing them a venue to deal one-on-one with their lenders in hopes of a loan modification,” said Supervisor Mitzelfelt, who sits on the Inland Empire Economic Recovery Corporation Board of Directors. “The High Desert has been one of the areas most affected by the foreclosure crisis and we want to ensure that local residents have every opportunity to stay in their homes.”

The IEERC is a non-profit, public-benefit corporation organized to create public-private partnerships for the purposes of stabilizing Inland Empire neighborhoods and communities, preventing and reducing blight, and addressing the home foreclosure problems in the Inland Empire.

The IEERC rotates Home Foreclosure Prevention Seminars throughout the Inland Empire in an effort to provide information and resources to homeowners who may be in danger of losing their homes. At the seminars, homeowners may meet with representatives from nonprofit housing counseling agencies approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Homeowners also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with their lenders through participating banks and lenders. Additionally, there will be individuals providing information on the foreclosure process, short sales, HUD programs and assistance, fraud prevention, and other social services available through government and nonprofit agencies.

“We have already had numerous success stories of residents who were able to avoid foreclosure based on these seminars,” said Supervisor Mitzelfelt. “I invite anyone facing such issues to attend this valuable seminar.”

Before attending the seminar, please visit the IEERC website at www.ieerc.org and register for the free event.
