(Best Syndication News) The Alliance For Community Action of Wrightwood, Pinon Hills and Phelan is hosting a special screening of the documentary “Rethink Afghanistan”. The film questions the wisdom of prolonging the conflict in Asia.

The US is not pursuing non-military options. Urmann, a retired professor from California State University, San Bernardino, wonders if the US can play a more constructive role by engaging civil society, rather than by waging war.
As President Obama considers sending more troops to Afghanistan, many Americans are asking the same question. After 8 years of U.S. military engagement in Afghanistan, violence and instability are still prevalent. “Will more American military force bring stability to the country or security to our own?,” Urmann asks.
The screening will be held on Sunday, November 15th, at the Wrightwood Museum, 6000 Cedar St., Wrightwood California. This is the “Old Firehouse”. Students are welcome and the film will begin at 3 pm and run until 5 pm.
Urmann says we can learn more about the civilian alternatives that may be able to bring peace and security to the region, and what we can do about it.
