[Best Syndication News] Eating a diet full of whole grains could help to prevent developing high blood pressure concluded a study that was recently published in the September 2009 American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
The study found that the men that ate the hightest amount of whole grains in their diet had reduced there chances of developing high blood pressure by 19 percent.
The researchers think that the outer coating of the grains have vital nutrients in the bran and germ that more than likely contribute to the reduced risk of developing high blood pressure. The outer portion of grains have been shown in other research to be beneficial at lowering LDL cholesterol levels.

The US recommendation is for people to eat at least 3 ounces or 85 grams of whole grains every day. In addition to this that this eat at leas half of their grains in the form of whole grains.
The researchers point out that women also benefit with a reduce risk of developing high blood pressure by eating whole grains as well. The researchers wanted to investigate if this was true with men as well and they found that it was beneficial to men as well.
