Too many times doctors see women in their offices because of cosmetic problems. This can be true with any cosmetic, but it seems to be truer when it comes to specific ones that target the eye. One of these instances happens to be the use of an eye gel.
Eye gel, when used appropriately, can produce dramatic and long lasting effects. The problem arises when an eye gel is used inappropriately, usually directly as a result of not following the manufacturers directions or simply not doing a little research on the product.
There are many women that use eye gel and they really shouldn’t. Many of these women are simply too young to even begin considering such an item.

To determine at what age a woman should begin using a product such as an eye gel, look at heredity. If the parents aged slowly and gracefully, it can be held off for a few more years than someone whose parents aged quickly. Preferably, it is best to wait to use an eye gel until there are actually some very minor signs of tissue breakdown around the eye area.
Eye gel, as it dries, pulls the skin just a little tauter than normal. It also has ingredients to help regenerate the skins cells to produce younger-looking eyes. It is designed mostly for younger women who have skin that produces more natural oils, and it only provides specific moisturizers that will not make the skin oilier or damage it.
Another instance when an eye gel should not be used is if the skin is in any way irritated or there is a rash present. Any eye gel can cause further damage, and it is that kind of damage that increases aging around the eyes.
Any woman that has severe eye allergies should also forego using an eye gel. A basic hypoallergenic moisturizer will do more good and cause fewer problems than using any form of eye gel. However, if you really feel the need to use one, talk to your doctor first before just purchasing one and regretting it later. He or she can most likely recommend one that shouldn’t give you any problems.
There are not many times when a person should not use an eye gel, but they do exist and precautions should be taken. If you can use one, you will find that they work well and you will be pleased to see the results.
