[Best Syndication News] Since Paula Abdul isn't returning for season 9 of FOX's 'American Idol' TV show, it looks like the executives are still wanting a fourth judge.

According to a report by US Magazine, FOX chairman, Peter Rice told the magazine that they will be searching for a fourth judge to replace Paula Abdul.

While they search for a permanent replacement, they have signed some temporary guest judges for the TV show. Guest judges that will be joining season 9 will be former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham, and rock singer, Katy Perry. The guest judges will only be with them for one episode during the audition week. They will be joining judges Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi, and Simon Cowell on the audition show tapings.

It is a bit confusing as the americanidol.com website already showed that the auditions dates for Season 9 have come and gone for cities that they have listed....(see the videos below). So obviously Abdul would have known that she didn't get hired on again way back in June.

It doesn't look like it was meant for Abdul to leave the show or was it..., but it has been rumored that Abdul wanted a pay raise more than the show was willing to offer. It also looks like the will keep searching for a replacement judge when the show begins the competition in January.
