[Best Syndication News] The Tanimura and Antle from Salinas, California has issued a voluntary recall of lettuce that was shipped to over 29 states and as a precaution, they expanded the recall to include all 50 states. The recall was prompted after Salmonella was found in a routine box check.
Currently there has not been any illnesses reported from the consumption of the contaminated lettuce. The company is working with the federal agencies to make sure that the recall and investigation is completed in a timely manner.
The lettuce that is being recalled is the Whole Head Romaine Lettuce with the Tanimura & Antle branding. Not all lettuce supplied by the company is contaminated and is safe to eat. They lettuce that is safe to eat is the Tanimura & Antle Romaine Hearts and their other products.
